I'm active-duty USAF... so home is wherever I unpacked my luggage last. Before I joined this sight-seeing tour, home was the Pittsburgh area. So... yeah... I'm a Steelers fan. While that might make me a homer, I'm not beyond criticizing my team or its players for their shortcomings. After 30-odd years of watching my favorite team play, I've come to understand the difference between good football and bad footbal... having seen my share of both. I've also come to appreciate the philisophical differences between a first-class organization that continually resurfaces as championship-caliber, versus other organizations that are perennially hopeless. I'm sure that I'll find time for commentary about both. My point is this: I will fanatically root for the Steelers, regardless of the opponent or the game. I make no apologies for that... it's how I was raised. However... I'm not going to be defending any bad games, plays, players, coaching, or personnel decisions. So, if you've stopped in expecting a rah-rah Steelers site... sorry. They're like family to me. I'm as likely to criticize them as I am to celebrate them. I am an equal-opportunity sports fan. I applaud good sports and sportsmanship, regardless of the sport or uniform. I jeer poor sports and sportsmanship, wherever it appears. And why? Because I apparently have nothing better to do at the moment, and it amuses me. Seriously... I have no delusions that blog access automatically makes me a journalist. Thanks for stopping by.
