I'm a rabid sports fan who grew up in the Bronx, just a few minutes walk from the House that Ruth Built. I now live in the Orient. Unlike many New Yorkers, I like ALL teams from N.Y. and the New York area. I especially like the Yankees, Islanders , Jets and Nets. I am also a rabid fan of the Syracuse Orangemen (politically incorrect nickname these days, but I still prefer to use it). I've lived in NYC, San Diego and Syracuse in the States and Miura city in Japan. I also love cycling and boxing. There are a few teams outside of my area which I do root for, unless they are playing one of my teams, of course. They are the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, the Oklahoma Sooners and the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. I utterly despise the Boston Red Sox (They're the champs again but it's still 26-7. Not in the same universe!), Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins, Montreal Canadiens, Miami Hurricanes, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Go Yankees in 2008 and beyond!!!!
