I have an interesting idea that may solve our BCS bowl problems. I think the top 25 teams should play in a single tournament with the nationally ranked number one team (by the coaches and the BCS) receiving a first round bye. The first level rounds would pit the top 24 teams against each other with these bowls being the lower tier bowls such as the Holiday Bowl, the Armed Forces Bowl, or the New Mexico Bowl. Matching up higher ranked teams versus mid or lower level teams would generate the highest interest because the lower ranked teams would have no choice but to prove that they belong in the…
