The one thing that makes Kobe just like Jordan is that Kobe is a tremendous defender. There have been alot of great offensive players, but none that played defense like Jordan or Bryant. Kobe was unstoppable when LA needed to close the game, just watching that reminded you of Jordan when he played. I'm not sure that LA is a better overall team then Boston, but Kobe is a difference maker, he's finally starting to learn how to trust teammates and take better shots too. Kobe also had a game where scored 81 points. EIGHTY ONE..... thats unreal, we probably won't see that happen again in our lifetime.

Kobe VS Michael I think that Dan, and some of these other sportswriters, analysts have short memories. I'll leave this one to the stats with regard to who is a better shooter. Jordan shot over 50% for his Bulls career. Including the Wizards, his career % is just under 50%. I don't believe Kobe has shot 50% in one season yet. Jordan played against much more physical defenses. Until Kobe shoots 50% in a season he cannot possily be considred a better shooter than Jordan. That is just hogwash.

WOW! Look I know you wrote this almost 4 months ago, but I somehow stumbled upon it and I saw your Eli bashing column after the Super Bowl. I'm so incensed I don't even know what to say. All I can muster out through my anger is DEREK **** ANDERSON!? Are you shittin me here? The one man fluke who singlehandidly knock his team out of the playoffs with his awful performance against the powerhouse Bengals defense. And David Garrard? Puhlease, all he does is manage the game while handing off to two great backs. I'm sorry if you would honestly take DEREK ANDERSON over Eli Manning you need to quit your job right now and go work in a Red Lobster in Cleveland. Stats are overrated. Eli is a WINNER, so enjoy Garrards passer rating and Romo's big performances in September, I'll take Eli's Super Bowl MVP ANY DAY! One more thing, when did Big Ben, Brad Johnson, or Trent Dilfer lead their team on the SUPER BOWL WINNING DRIVE? O yeah, thats right, NEVER!!!!

Andrew, About the trivia question on the show on May 19th regarding the most losses by a major league pitcher before the All-Star Break. The answer actually is Roger Craig of the 1962 NY Mets with 16 before the break.
