High school junior. I play baseball, football, and golf. I'm a loyal O's and Ravens fan, and I'd like to have a sports-oriented job somewhere down the road. A few of my beliefs: 1) Jessie Owens was the greatest athlete of the 20th century. Never again has anyone ever had to deal with so many things and still done well (except maybe Jackie Robinson). 2) I don't like Barry Bonds, but if he passes Hank Aaron, I guess that's life. 3) The NCAA needs to institute a playoff system in college football. 4) Whatever distance it turns out to be, the 3-point lines for HS/college should be the same, as should international & NBA play. 5) Ray Lewis was and is still innocent. 6) Squash gets a bad rap because it's largely unfamiliar to many people and it shares its name with a nasty vegetable. 7)College football's overtime system is kinda lame. 8) Arizona Cardinals: 2009 Super Bowl Champions 9) Lacrosse will surpass hockey as one of the "Big Four" professional sports before 2050. 10) Tiger Woods is the greatest athlete of my generation.

    Up until today's report of dog carcasses being found at Mike Vick's VA property, I really didn't give a hoot about the QB's alleged links to dog fighting.  I found the extensive media coverage given to the issue a bit ridiculous, considering that people have done much worse and been less criticized.  Sure, Vick is prominent in the public eye, and yes, as a friend of mine pointed out, the way someone treats an animal can often be indicative of how they would treat another human being.  But to be honest, whatever Vick's level of involvement…
